EAPPI is a program founded by the World Council of Churches in response to a call from the local Heads of Churches in Jerusalem. EAPPI-US is the US based program through which Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs) from the United States participate in EAPPI.

The Ecumenical Accompainment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) is a program of the World Council of Churches (WCC) - an outcome of the Palestine Israeli Ecumenical Forum, established in 2002 and brings internationals to the West Bank to experience life under occupation.Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs) provide protective presence to vulnerable communities, monitor and report … EAPPI recruits ordinary people from the UK and Ireland to live alongside communities working non-violently against the military occupation. EAs range in age from 25 to 70 years old and are from many different backgrounds, but what they all share is a deep dedication to human rights. First and foremost, EAs witness life under occupation.
